Hello everyone! Very quick update. I'm 16 weeks today and I had Jenevieve snapped a quick pic of the ever expanding belly. I'll be curious to see what the scale says at my next dr. visit. I hadn't gained weight at my last appointments but looking at my stomach I highly doubt that's still the case. Pardon the big white thing next to me. It's the box with the tub surround in it. There isn't really a spot in the house right now where you won't be able to see some sign of the remodeling project. So, this is as good as it gets. lol

remodeling progress
Thought I'd share the progress so far. It's a lot of work since it's all lath and plaster and I'm thankful that Jason has such a good buddy to help him out. Thanks Gus!!!! You can click on the picture to view it larger. Basically, they took the door off the bathroom and moved it to the doorway that led into the small hallway. Then they ripped down the wall that was the end of the bathroom. So we'll be gaining the hallway space as bathroom space. YAY!!! 2 bathrooms in this house and they are both so small. It wasn't working for me. It still won't be a huge room but it'll definitely be better. They also removed the door that led into the back bedroom and created a doorway in the entryway hallway which will now be the access into that room. (bottom pic) The old doorway will be closed in so that I'll have a nice long wall in the baby's room to place furniture on. All of the fixtures in the bathroom will be moved. (much to Jason's dismay) The sink will be placed in front of the old entrance to the bedroom, the toilet will move over to where the sink currently is and the shower will be replaced with a tub and surround. And still a shower too of course. It'll be SO much easier to bathe the baby in a regular tub than our deep clawfoot tub upstairs. I remember cursing that tub when Jenevieve was a baby. Not fun trying to hold onto a slippery baby while the side of the tub is up under your armpits. We actually discovered it was easier to just take a bath with her than it was to try to bathe her the standard way. Anyway, back to the project. All the paneling in the bathroom is going to be ripped off as well as the lath and plaster and all new drywall will go in there. Yay, one room with good walls in this old house! I'm looking forward to picking out paint colors and having a nice, new and modern bathroom. I stripped the wallpaper that was along the bottom of the hallway wall and will be painting in there. We saved the chair rail that was previously there so I think I'll do a darker color on bottom and lighter color on top to try to brighten up that space a bit. It doesn't look dark in the picture but it is. So, lots to do yet but this is what's done so far. I'll post more pics as more progress is made. :)

Julia's layouts
I got a couple layouts done today for Julia's album and thought I'd share them here. :)
This first one includes a couple pictures I took on Thanksgiving at Grandma Lingle's house.
And this one is all about Julia's big wipe out on her bike. :(
You can read the journaling here.

doctor visit
I went to the doctor today for my first exam and was thrilled to finally get to hear the heartbeat. She was able to find it right away and it was clear and LOUD. lol I'd forgotten how much I love that sound. :)
I go back again on April 13th. Then at that appointment we'll schedule my 20 week ultrasound. Can't wait!!! I desperately hope we can find out what we're having this time.
Somehow I've managed to not gain weight yet. Not sure how that's possible since my stomach is popping out like mad. I weighed exactly the same today as I did at my last dr. visit. So that's good considering I need to watch my weight more this time around. They don't like heavy women to gain as much.
Well, that's all the news for now. Won't know more until April. It's reassuring to know there's still a little one inside of me though. Hearing the heartbeat made it much more real. Still have a boy vibe going so we'll see. ;)

Hi everyone! Thought I'd share my week 14 baby belly with you. I'm still in my regular jeans which surprises me but the belly is quickly filling out. Thank goodness jeans these days are low rise! LOL I feel absolutely HUGE but then I see pictures that other girls have posted that are due around the same time and they are as big if not bigger so I guess I'm where I'm supposed to be. Plus being baby #3 the body expands MUCH faster. I've started feeling the baby move some. Some days more than others. I go to the doctor on Monday for my first exam. So far I've had the 2 early ultrasounds (7 weeks and 8 weeks) and a paperwork appointment that covered medical history, weight, urine, blood pressure and all that crap. So this will be the first real deal appointment. I'm hoping to get to hear the heartbeat because I haven't heard it yet. I'm still REALLY hoping to find out what we're having this time around. I think it would be fun to plan specifically for a boy or a girl since I've never gotten to do that before. My gut tells me it's a boy so we'll see. Whenever I refer to the baby in my head I say he or him so I'm curious to know if I'm right or wrong. The morning sickness is starting to subside. Thank God!!!! I still eat an orange in the morning to keep the gagging feeling at bay but the urge to vomit isn't as strong. I'm still tired all the time but don't sleep well. I'm like great, this early in and I'm already not sleeping??? I'm even more anxious for spring than usual because I want to start going for walks and get outside more. This crappy weather hasn't been cooperating though. Today was a pretty decent day so of course I have a sick kid here with me. Can't win. Anyway, that's the update so far. I'm guessing my next ultrasound will be mid to late April so I won't do another baby update until then unless something major happens between now and then.
