2 more new layouts

I got 2 new layouts done today. One of Mason and one of Jenevieve. I think I'm going to have to strap Kyle down somewhere just so I can get some new pictures of him to scrap! LOL He's so ornery about the camera.

Full credits are available here.

I forgot I also scrapped this one yesterday from the Memorial Day parade. Kyle walked in the parade with the other Cub Scouts. This was his second year to do so. Full credits available here.

Tomorrow is the first day of one of the summer activities that I signed Kyle up for. I hope he enjoys it and has fun. I'm sure Jenevieve will be sad that she can't go. Next year she'll be old enough for me to sign her up but she doesn't understand why she has to wait. And it is hard because with them being 19 months apart in age they HAVE done pretty much everything together at the same time. I had the not so fun challenge of trying to explain to her today that the kindergarteners go to school every other day for the first 2 weeks so when Kyle has his first day of school hers won't be until the next day. She'll go Tues. and Thurs. the first week and Mon., Wed., Fri. the second week. Then after that she'll go to Mon.-Fri. all 5 days. I know how anxious she is to start kindergarten so she's not going to like having to wait an extra day. We also found out today who her teacher will be and of course it's one of the teachers that I've never met and know nothing about. Figures.

Well, I better get the dishes done and figure out what else we're going to have with supper. I have some meat cooking in the crock pot for teriyaki sandwhiches. Not sure what else we'll have though. I made the kids a recipe for lunch that I'd never made them before. It's one I enjoyed when I still lived with my parents in Grand Mound so I figured I'd see if they like it or not. Well the whole time I'm making it Kyle's grumbling about how gross it sounds and how I ruined it by adding tuna, blah, blah, blah. I told him he doesn't have to like it but he does have to try it. So I get them cooked and serve him just a little sampling and before I knew it he was begging for more. The kid ate TONS of it in fact! LOL And of course Jenevieve, who I SWORE would love this recipe, hated it. They just love to prove me wrong, don't they?

Ok, off to do my cleaning. Yay rah. :(

Julia and Jenevieve sledding together.

3 out of 4 kids isn't bad right? We tried to get Mason in this shot too but he just wasn't having it.

Mason decided he wasn't done with his bath afterall and climbed back into the tub. Jammies and all.

Misc. ramblings.

Hi everyone! Been awhile since I posted on here so I thought I'd better take a minute to do so. The kids are both out of school and summer vacation has officially started. Today is day 3 of being home and of course it's been raining and storming so they'll be inside all day. Could turn into a very LONG day for me but we'll see. Hopefully there will be a minimul amount of fighting between them today. :)

They are looking forward to all the fun things we have planned for this summer. Kyle is signed up for a few different summer activities and will also be attending a 3 day camp through Cub Scouts. It won't be an overnighter or anything but he'll go each morning and come home each afternoon. Should be fun for him. The other activities will be science and discovery related so they will be right up his alley. Both kids will be taking swimming lessons again this year and they can't wait for that to start. Unfortunately lessons don't start until the end of July so I'll hear "is it time yet" for another month and a half. lol

We are also planning a family vacation this summer to Chicago. We haven't taken the kids there yet so it should be a good time. We hope to visit the train museum in Union, IL as well. Jason and I went there several years ago but with Kyle's love of trains I know he'll enjoy it. We stopped at the little depot in Thompson, IL last weekend and he just looked around taking it all in. It's so fun to see him in his element. Can't wait to see his reaction at the big train museum.

Last weekend the kids went camping with Tim and Katie. Both kids has a fantastic time. Katie decided to spoil Jenevieve and purchased her a new bike. Jenevieve recently learned to ride without training wheels and is off and running on the new bike. She LOVES it! Thanks so much Katie!!! Kyle's been blowing me away lately too with his sudden interest in learning all the things that he's been bucking us about for the past couple years. Honestly, I don't think he liked that his little sister learned these things before him so it was the push he needed to tackle them. He has now learned to tie shoes and ride a bike without training wheels. He had absolutely NO interest in either of those things and I was starting to wonder if he'd ever learn.

Jenevieve lost her first tooth recently and then not long after she lost her second tooth. And now one of her top front teeth is loose. Won't be long and she'll have gaps everywhere! lol Kyle's lost a total of 7 teeth now and has 5 of his permanent teeth in. Sure makes him look grown up!

I took Jenevieve to get her school physical and 3 shots in the leg later she's all ready for kindergarten. Can't believe both kids will be in school this fall. Seems like we just moved here and she was just born. Hard to believe it's been 5 1/2 years already! Kyle will be in 2nd grade and it's cute listening to him tell her all about being in school and what she will/won't do. I think he likes having the big brother role where he can show her the ropes.

I've been trying to sneak in a little scrapbooking among the time I spend on the computer designing. So I have a few new layouts to share. I'm going to put them in a seperate post though since this one is already pretty long. Designing has been going pretty well and I'm thankful everyday for the opportunity to sell at Digital Freebies and for the customers who purchase my items. It's so nice to be able to be home with the kids AND get paid for doing something I enjoy.

Ok, I'm going to wrap up this post and start the next one with the new scrapbook pages. I still need to get a shower and get dressed so I can go outside and pick up all the stuff that blew around in the storm. I see the kids size plastic chairs are over by my van and a couple of my flower pots are tipped over. Who knows what else. Fun, fun. Take care and I'll try to post again soon!
