Kyle and Daisy

Here's a 2 page layout I did today using pics of Kyle and Daisy. They are quite the pair. :)

The kit I used is called See Spot Run by Robin Carlton, Sweet Shoppe Designs. I also used one of my own templates for this.

Daisy is growing so fast. Although she's not going to be a very big dog. But she's grown so much in the 2 1/2 weeks we've had her. The kids are loving her though. I'm getting tired of the whole housebreaking/potty training thing but otherwise all is well.

Well, not much time to write right now but I wanted to share this layout. Have a great evening!

Mason

Tim, Katie, Julia, Mason, Dad and Joan were all over Saturday night to hang out, have supper and play some cards. I snapped a couple pictures of Mason being cute on the table and scrapped two of them today for the challenge at www.digiscrapdivas.com Isn't he adorable?!?!?!

Update on Daisy: Day three is going pretty well. She's still getting used to everything and we're still potty training, etc. but overall things are good. She's a lot more playful and chases our feet as we walk. We got her some toys and Jenevieve loves playing with her.

Yesterday was the doll show and I added 2 more babies to my collection. I just can't resist when I go there!!!! It's a terrible addiction. But I also found some vintage postcards and images that I'm hoping to use in a future digital scrapbooking kit.

Tomorrow my friend is coming over with her kids and we're going to have lunch at McDonald's and then take all the munchkins to the park. It's supposed to be beautiful out tomorrow so it's a good opportunity to let them run and burn off the cabin fever. Maybe I can get some new pictures too. I haven't been out and about with the kids much and haven't taken many new pictures.

Well, I need to get a few layouts done tonight for my creative teams so I'd better wrap this up. Have a great evening everyone!

Introducing Daisy

Here is the newest member of our family, Daisy. :)

She's the sweetest little puppy and the kids are THRILLED to have her here. So far she is adapting pretty well too. She's only 5 weeks old and when she arrived here yesterday it was her first day away from her mommy. We were warned that she's probably be pretty fussy and to expect her to wimper a lot during the night. Surprising we've barely heard her make a peep and she didn't wake us up at all last night. I'm excited that she and the kids can grow up together and that they can learn responsibility by caring for her. :)

Contest Layouts

I'm participating in the Funk It Up contest at Scrapforums. I entered this contest last year and was happy to make into the final 10. This year they aren't doing elimination rounds so it's a lot less stressful but the talent in the digital world is OUTSTANDING and far better than last year's entrants. So, I'm not feeling overly confident this year. But, it's still fun and it pushes me to create layouts that I probably wouldn't make otherwise. Round one started us off with a lyric challenge. We had to use at least one complete line of lyrics from Nickelback's Photograph song. This led me to create a tribute to my friend Ivan who sadly passed away when I was a sophmore in high school. For this I used Janna Billman's Sticky Album and filled it with items that I have in my real life scrapbook. And I wrote a letter to Ivan which helped give me the closure that I needed after not having an opportunity to properly say goodbye to him before his death.
For the second round of the contest we had to use the words "someday I'm going to" somewhere on our page. Honestly, I just wasn't grooving on this challenge and kept drawing a complete blank. So thankfully Jenevieve saved the day by wearing this crazy concoction of clothes which inspired a last minute layout. :)

The bonus challenge for round 2 was to create something using green as the main color. So I scrapped this cute pic of little Mason. Can't resist that smile!!!!

I'm about to start working on my round 3 layout. This week we have to use the words, "What I know for sure" on the page. Not 100% certain what I'm going to scrap but I have an idea that I'm going to try. Wish me luck because I know I need to step it up if I'm going to stand a chance in this competition.

New Layouts

Just adding some of my latest layouts. The 3 that coordinate all use my newest kit Happiness Is...A Girl. The winter one uses Snowflake Fantasy by Athena and the 10 things layout uses my Foyer kit and Carol Baumann's A Little Whimsy/4/Deckled Details. Hope ya like them. :)
