couple new layouts

I scrapped some pics of Jason today. It's fun to get away from scrapping the kids from time to time and to scrap the other things that are important in my life. One of the designers at the site where I'm a creative team member came out with this cool kit that was perfect! It's called Fill'er Up by Cyndy McAtee (www.kathrynbalint.com). It was really fun to play with all the little extras in this kit since they are so Jason. :)

Also, I scrapped a layout of Jenevieve as a baby today. Can you believe she's going to be 4 years old next month? How can that be possible? Time has gone SO incredibly fast. This layout was scrapped using a kit by Carol Baumann called Emily and I also used a template by Janna Billman. Both of these are also available at Kathryn's site.

I'm also going to share a pic of O.C. our kitty. He's getting so big! He's still primarilly an outdoor cat but gets to come in for a bit from time to time. Usually not for long though. I prefer him outside but the kids like him in the house.

Nothing too exciting to report today. Kyle's parent teacher conference is tomorrow night so we'll see how that goes. I'll admit I'm a bit nervous. We got his report card for the first quarter and while he's doing ok in most areas there are a few where he recieved bad marks. They are all ones that didn't surprise us though. Such as listening, being neat and organized, following rules and having respect for authority, having respect for his space and others. You know, all the things we already know Kyle struggles with. How to correct these behaviors is the challenge. I'm hoping that his teacher will have suggestions for us vs. just chewing us out about it. Know what I mean? I'll post an update on here after we have the conference.

Well, it's a beautiful day outside so I think I'm going to take jenevieve to the park for a bit of fresh air while we have the chance. Might even sneak in a few pictures of her if she decides to cooperate. Ya just never know with her. One day she'll ham it up and smile like she's on command and the next time she'll absolutely refuse to look at the camera. We'll see which personality she brings with her today. LOL

Get out and enjoy the weather if you can! Have a great day!

a few more

Just a few more random scrapbook pages I've made lately.

Yay! It worked. Ok, let me see, what's new around here? Well, not too much afraid. We live a boring and simple life but it works for us. :)

I got Mason's first official scrapbook page made the other day. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. I'll post it here for you all to see. Credits for papers and elements go to Jen Wilson from Jen Wilson Designs.

I also managed to make my 3rd kit. It's called Give Thanks and is just in time for Thanksgiving. (wasn't sure i was going to get it done this month!) I used it to scrap a pic of Jenevieve from last year. I'm still selling my templates at Kathryn's site as well. Going good so far and hopefully it will continue.

Kyle got bit by the flu bug over the weekend. I picked him up from school on Friday and he was complaining of a headache. Shortly after that his cheeks went beet red and he spiked a fever. So Friday night was spent with him on the couch, taking tylenol, and watching movies. But around bedtime the vomitting set in and it was a long night. He felt a lot better Saturday but was still a bit sluggish and very tired from not getting enough sleep the night before. Yesterday he was back to his usual hyper self and today it was back to school. :)

We spent Sat. night with Tim, Katie, Julia, Mason, Dad and Joan at a hotel in Clinton. We went swimming and the kids had a blast. Thanks Dad! We had a really great time!

Well, it's Monday and we all know how hard it is to get up and start tackling the week so I guess I better try to motivate myself to get some things done today. I'm going to share the layouts I mentioned above as well as a few other new ones I've done recently. Enjoy and have a great day!

Testing, testing...1, 2, 3. LOL Just checking to make sure that this is going to work. The other day I typed out a big old entry and wasn't able to post it. :(
If this works then I'll be back with another entry.
