It's a boy!!!!!

Last night I had the wonderful pleasure of becoming an aunt. This will be the last time for me since Tim and Katie have decided that 2 kids will be enough for them and Jason's brother and his wife have also decided that they are done having kids. So, I relished every minute of the experience and was overjoyed when Tim came in and said that they had a boy. Mason Timothy Lingle joined the family last night (Sept. 27) just before 9pm. He weighed 7lbs 10ozs and is PRESCIOUS! He has the palest blonde/white eyelashes that are so sweet and his full head of hair is dark but has tons of golden streaks throughout it. Mom says that Tim's hair was like that when he was born and Tim always had pale blonde hair as a child so maybe Mason will be a little blondie too. Katie and Mason were both doing well after the delivery and Katie was pretty tired and ready for bed when I left the hospital last night. Hopefully she was able to get a good nights rest. I'm going to try to get to the hospital for a little bit today to see everyone again. I only have a small window of time between when Jenevieve gets out of school and when I have to pick Kyle up from school and I know that I'll wish I could stay longer at the hospital but a little time there is better than none. :)

Kyle's been fighting that bad cold bug that's going around so unfortunatley I can't take him to meet his new cousin yet. Which is hard because Kyle keeps asking when I'm going to take him to the hospital to see the baby. Oh, and when I told the kids this morning that they have a new baby cousin and that it's a boy Jenevieve started crying and said, "But I wanted a girl baby." LOL As the only girl in our neighborhood of 6 boys I think Jenevieve is always wanting more girls around to even out the score a bit.

I'm going to post some of the pictures from last night. Tim took the ones of Mason right after delivery. I thought he did a pretty good job. The rest were taken after Katie was in her recovery room and we were all able to come in and meet Mason. Julia is just thrilled with him and is going to be a great big sister. She was walking around with the hand sanatizer telling each adult who's turn it was to hold her baby brother. Too cute!

Kyle's First Day of School Scrapbook Page

I finally got Kyle's first day pictures scrapped. I ended up using most of what I had typed in the previous blog entry as journaling on the page. I felt that it best described the emotions of that day. Hope you like the page! :)

Jenevieve's first day of preschool

Jenevieve had her first day of preschool yesterday. She was so excited about going and as soon as we pulled up and parked she was jumping out with her backpark to head inside. I told her to stop and wait for me and her comment was, "I'm ok. I don't need help". :(
My baby is growing up!

We went through the routine of hanging up her backpack, finding her name on the attendance clothespins, picking a shape for the pocket board and finding a toy to play quietly with until class started. She breezed right through each station and in a blink was engrossed in playtime and couldn't have cared less if I was still there or not. Later when I picked her up we talked about her day. She said they played at the "park", the daycare/school's playground. I asked if she had fun and she loudly said, "Yes! All of my friends were there!" Which gave me a chuckle since she'd never met any of these kids before yesterday. lol

Later our neighbor asked her if she had a job today at school. There are jobs such as weather, leader, snack time helper, etc. Jenevieve said that she had jobs and when asked what they were she said, "to play and eat a snack". Too funny. I can handle those kind of jobs. ;)

I'm going to post some pictures of her first day here. I need to get both hers and Kyle's scrapbook pages made yet. I'll post them here when they're done though.

Her second day is tomorrow and hopefully she's enjoy it as much as she did yesterday. Oh and yes, she zonked out after her first day of school too! :)
